Well Done Rhys Bailey - You've smashed it!

We have had some great news this week for one of our temporary workers Rhys Bailey, who continues to overcome adversity.

Rhys has a number of health challenges including ADHD, Global Delay and a hearing impairment – none of which have stood in his way as he has progressed magnificently over the last few years.

Rhys has been on a bit of a journey, that started out with Yeovil College three years ago when he began a work preparation course.  

Alongside gaining his Functional Maths & English qualifications, Rhys managed to secure a supported  internship with Yeovil District Hospital NHS Foundation Trust – he proved himself to be a real asset during this time, so much so that Rhys was selected as a finalist at this year’s Education Business Partnership Award 2020. It also meant that Smart Recruitment were able to place Rhys into a paid assignment at Simply Serve Ltd (YDH), who were so happy with his work and commitment during his internship that they wanted to have him back again.

Rhys has been a model worker for Smart Recruitment, always willing to pick up extra shifts, never absent and always committed to the job at hand. All of this during a global pandemic at the most challenging time the NHS has ever seen.

His efforts have not gone unnoticed, and we are delighted to announce that Rhys has now secured a permanent role with the NHS – a fantastic achievement.

Well done Rhys, we wish you every success for the future - you are a fantastic example of what someone can achieve with the right attitude and level of motivation.
