Helping to "Give Lilly a voice"

Darren Carter, an employee at  one of Smart Recruitment's clients, his wife Tash and family  are raising money  to give their seven year old daughter a voice.

 Seven year old Lilly was born with Rett syndrome,  a neurological condition that means she faces a number of challenges, including difficulty with speech . Lilly has a feeding tube fitted which means she cannot speak. Rett syndrome also means that she will not be able to use sign language to communicate.

Darren, Tash along with friends and family  are trying to raise £5,000 pounds in total to buy an “Eye-Gaze” system, this is a system similar to the one used by Professor Stephen Hawking.

To aid with the fundraising David Gray, ( the soon to be retired factory manager at the Lubborn Creamery) and his wife Fiona,  made a 50 mile tandem bicycle ride following the “Great Dorset Bike Ride” route. Starting at Dorchester the route went through Wareham, around the Arne peninsular, past Corfe Castle to Wool  and back to Dorchester. 

Smart Recruitment were more than happy to contribute towards their goal, and we wish them every success in reaching it - and we wish David Gray a happy retirement!
