Job Description
Location: Chard. Temporary with fix term contract possibilities. Hourly range from £12.83 - £13.80 depends on experience.. Hours: 08:00 – 16:30 Mon–Thur, 08:00 – 15:30 Fri (30-minute lunch).
Smart Recruitment is proud to present an excellent opportunity for a General Office Administrator to join a well-established manufacturing business in Chard. This role is key to keeping production running smoothly by supporting scheduling, stock control, and supplier communication.
Key Responsibilities:

Liaising with suppliers to chase deliveries, handle product queries, and resolve issues

Processing and maintaining accurate data using SAP and Microsoft Excel

Assisting with production planning and monitoring stock levels

Supporting the scheduler with customer order prioritisation and entry into the production plan

Working closely with buyers, customer services, and management to ensure on-time delivery of materials

Supporting document control and internal reporting
Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Strong organisational and time management skills

Excellent communication – both written and verbal

A proactive, problem-solving mindset and attention to detail

Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise effectively

Experience using SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
