Job Description
Job Purpose
To support the HR Manager and the HR Admin team in the smooth running of the HR department, taking responsibility for all administrative duties to ensure that a professional HR service is provided.
This includes mainly recruitment, leaver, training and absence management administration as well as dealing with general enquiries, secretarial duties and maintaining in-house human resources information systems. Please note this is working for a manufacturing / engineering company, and it is fast paced and can be stressful at times.
Job Responsibilities
• Assisting the HR Manager in the Recruitment & Selection process (logging applications, acknowledgement and rejection letters, organising interviews)
• Assist in co-ordinating an induction programme for new starters
• Assist in processing wages and payments for internal staff.
• Organise medicals and references.
• Carry out related administration for new starters (id badges; new starter forms).
• Ensure return to work & exit interviews are carried out by the Manager.
• Monitor probationary periods.
• Maintain list of maternity leave & long term service.
• Book/organise Company travel.
• Maintain and update time and attendance system & maintain list of current temps.
• Monitor absence on a weekly basis and highlight excessive absence to the HR Manager
• Process medical certificates and weekly absence returns.
• Maintain filing system.
• Deal with general correspondence such as requests for references.
• To support the communications process throughout the company.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience
• Administrative experience is a must
• Sage experience preferred
• Structured approach with strong planning and organisational skills
• Ability to forge good working relationships at all levels of the organisation
• Flexibility to accommodate ever changing working environment and demands placed upon it
in a positive manner
• Ability to meet deadlines.
