Q: Do I have to pay to register with Smart Group Recruitment Solutions?
A:

No registering for work with the South's leading independent recruitment agency is completely free.

 

Q: How do I register with Smart Group Recruitment Solutions?
A:

You can register at any one of our offices, your information will then be shared across the Smart branch network. No appointment is necessary just turn up. Alternatively if you live out of our area you can email your CV to talk2us@smartgroup.co.uk or ring one of our branches. In accordance with Smart's equal opportunities policy, if you are unable to access one of our offices, we will arrange an alternative registration process.

 

Q: What information do I need to bring with me when I register with Smart Group Recruitment Solutions?
A:
  • CV (If applicable)
  • Bank Details
  • NI Number
  • Identification which can include
    • Passport
    • Full Birth Certificate
    • NI Card
    • P60/P45
    • Any documentation with your full NI number
  • Name, address and tel numbers of two references

 

Q: How do I apply for work via smart Recruitment?
A:

You can either download the application form, complete and then call one of our teams to arrange an interview or you can send your cv

Q: Will you contact me for both permanent & temporary work?
A:

We will contact you about any position either permanent or temporary that match the requirements you gave us at your registration.

 

Q: How will I get paid when I temp for Smart Group Recruitment Solutions?
A:

You will be paid weekly in arrears direct by BACS into your chosen bank account. Pay day is a Friday and you will receive a pay slip on a Thursday detailing your hours worked for the previous week, rate of pay, tax and NI Deductions as well as any holiday accrued.

 

Q: What benefits do I receive as a temporary worker?
A:
  • You receive 24 days paid holiday per annum from 1st October 2007
  • Holiday entitlement will rise to 28 days from 1st April 2009

Q: Will you contact me before submitting my CV to client?
A:

It is company policy to discuss all job opportunities with candidates before sending details to our clients. However if it is difficult to contact you and we are under a time restraint we will send your CV but the client would be made aware we had not spoken to you.

 

Q: Should I show Temp work on my CV?
A:

You should endeavour to cover all periods of employment and unemployment with dates for further details see our advice section.

 

Q: I am looking for a job in Recruitment. How would I find out about jobs within Smart?
A:

Please refer to our Jobs@Smart section on this website for detail on Smart vacancies.

 

Q: I notice one of your links isn’t working whom should I inform?
A:

Q: What do I do if I lose my timesheet?
A:

You can either download a blank timesheet click here call your local Smart Recruitment branch and they will be able to fax or post you a new one. Remember we require signed timesheets back to the office by 9.00 a.m. on the Monday following your week of work.

Q: Do you reference candidates?
A:

It is our policy to reference all candidates seeking temporary work through Smart Group Recruitment Solutions. We can also provide references for permanent candidates on request.

 

Q: Do you monitor your temporary’s work performance?
A:

We have a comprehensive staff assessment programme which is sent out to all clients on a regular basis.

 

Q: How can I place an order for staff?
A:

You can call any one of our branches and speak to a specialist consultant. Alternatively you can complete the vacancies registration template.

 

Q: Can you give me up to date information on employment Law?
A:

At Smart Recruitment we see ourselves as an extension of your HR department providing advice and guidance on topics including; employment legislation updates; salary benchmarking; and all other recruitment matters. As part of the REC we take a proactive approach to keeping our clients informed of employment law issues.

 

Q: How much will it cost me to recruit via Smart?
